Become a HALO Volunteer

How to help

In 2016, HALO saved more than 8,000 dogs and cats! We couldn't do it without the amazing volunteers and staff who work with us to help us save lives.

If you're ready to begin your volunteer experience, please fill out our online application. We will review all applications and get you started with HALO.

If you are a great fit for HALO's volunteer program, we will invite you to a 90-minute volunteer orientation. During the session, you will learn about HALO's history and how our volunteering program works.
There is a $20 material fee for each person participating, which offsets the cost of the HALO volunteer t-shirt, handbook and the name tag you'll be given.

To qualify for HALO volunteering, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old and have a great love and compassion for our furry friends
  • Be able to pre-schedule volunteer hours using HALO's volunteer website.
